The import to Excel is almost automatic. I edit the Karen's Directory file
to eliminate all the comment and information lines.

Then from Excel,

File | Open | filename.txt

Import Wizard should open - Just select Next or Finish at each screen to
accept the defaults and the file will be imported with each column a column
from Directory Printer. Save as an excel file. You should then be able to
use in Excel or import to a database.

Hope this explains. I find it a quick and easy procedure.
