Thanks for that Rick, I rarely use native windows OS facilities to manipulate the drives and/or partitions, so I usually see the drives I am working on as not the loaded system consequently I usually see 'Active' from the 3rd party software.
That's the problem with doing the same sort of thing frequently, you get used to just doing the same thing with expected variations, and stop considering all of the other conditioning factors. Mind you I have seen a system with separate partitions, over 2 drives, for Boot, OS, Pagefile, Registry, and user environment That one got rebuilt!
