My son brought his laptop over so I could try to get it to see a
networked printer on my home network.
(I had previously tried to get it to see a printer on his desktop but
didn't have any luck.)
He connected to my network (wirelessly) with no problem and when I asked
it to browse for a networked printer, it displays his workgroup name and
the name of my workgroup but no printers are displayed!
When I do that from my PC, I can see \\CAV\HP LaserJet 4L under my
workgroup name. (I can also see the name of his workgroup.)
These are all Win XP SP2, one Pro and two Homes.
It appears that something is misconfigured on his laptop but I have no
idea what. I would say that the firewall is not interfering.
Any suggestions?
