I'll say upfront that I'm no Perl expert. I use ASSP
(http://www.asspsmtp.org/wiki/Welcome) which requires the installation of Perl
along with various packages, and that's about the extent of my experience :)
With that said, I was having problems with ActiveState being unable to extract
the .gz files it downloaded through ppm, so the developer of ASSP suggested I
look at Strawberry Perl as an alternative.
Having installed Strawberry on Windows 2000, I am getting errors when I try to
install packages.

I couldn't find a Strawberry-specific list or forum. Is there such a thing?
In any event, could anyone suggest what might be wrong and how to go about
fixing it?
