Dear all,

I have now tried since some weeks to build my own Strawberry Perl
according to the instructions on the strawberryperl.org/beta/
webpage, and some suggestions in the chat channel.

All the times it fails somewhere along the way, far from starting the
build, most of the time in MakeMaker somewhere (details if you want them).

As we are distributing strawberry perl as part of the TeX Live Project
(www.tug.org/texlive) we need to ship the sources for it (we do that
with everything we ship). So my idea was to adapt the perldist_strawberry
script to keep all the downloaded sources somewhere, but unfortunately
that didn't work out.

So here is my very very polite request:
Please make the sources of the packages you provide on strawberryperl.org
website somewhere accessible (actually, this is GPL ...)

I would be happy already if the building of strawberry would actually
work and I can grab the sources that way myself.

So thanks for any help and suggestion and idea, best of all for sources ...

Best wishes

Norbert
