Hey all:

I'm trying to get Win4Lin to work for the first time on my box... I guess
I'll jump right into the problem:

I'm using a homegrown/self-patched kernel (2.2.17); patch/compilation goes
fine; boot goes fine.

Install goes fine until I try to make my 'personal win95' session by
starting winsetup as a user and creating my user space; if I do that, or
simply try to type 'win', as the manual says I can do, I always get:

[preed@excelsior preed]$ win
MERGE_NL: dos: ERROR: Win4Lin drivers are not loaded.
Cannot run DOS or Windows. Either Win4Lin is not fully installed
on your system, or the drivers cannot load.

Now, I ran an lsmod to see what modules *are* loaded, and I get:

[root@excelsior /root]# lsmod
Module Size Used by
Mvw 3388 0 (unused)
Mvmouse 504 0 (unused)
Mvkbd 648 0
Mvgic 3188 0 (unused)
Mvdsp 716 0
Mmpip 6360 0
Mmerge 113260 0 [Mvw Mvmouse Mvkbd Mvgic Mvdsp Mmpip]

So, at the very least *some* modules are getting loaded... anyone know what
the dealis here?

BTW, I've been using Linux since 1.2.9... so I'm not a *complete* newbie. :-)

Later,
Paul
