I hope that someone from netraverse support can answer a question for me.
Are there any plans for offering kernel rpms for Mandrake 7.2 anytime in the
future. I tried following the advice on previous postings of this list and
downloaded some rpms that were put out by a mandrake user but when I did I
couldn't boot into anything and after using a boot disk found that the
regular kernel had been replaced completely by the win for lin kernel
provided on that site, and when I re-rpm-ed the regular kernel, I had a ton
of problems and couldn't use most of my system, so I had to do a complete
reinstall. I switched from vmware to win4lin but now am using vmware at the
present time because i can't even use win4lin on my linux mandrake 7.2
system. I have two requests
1) could you send me a copy of my license again, in the process of losing
everything and reinstalling I managed to lose my emails from the last month
or so and so I don't have my free upgrade license from 1.0 to 2.0 that I got
earlier.
2) can you release newer rpms so I can use win4lin which is in my opinion
much faster and more reliable than vmware.
You have a great product, when I can use it, and I'd appreciate your help.
