Oscar,
I'm in the same boat with my Journada. I've had a bit of success by setting
up a PPP connection between my Journada & my Linux box, which will allow me
to share files via FTP, but no luck syncing.

I thought that since I had a PPP connection & gave the Journada an IP address
that Activesync might hook up via TCP/IP, but that didn't work. Turns out you
need to establish a partnership between the device & Windows via the serial
cabel before syncing over a network, so I was back to square one.

The next thing I'm thinking of trying is establishing a connection to a
machine that boots Windows, then using one of the application moving programs
(IIRC, Network Associates has one) to move ActiveSync & all it's registry
entries to Win4Lin for the connection. Haven't tried it yet, though.

I do sync my Journada with Outlook 2000 at work, and Outlook will export my
contacts/tasks/calendar in a .CSV file, but I haven't played around with
importing that into any Linux based PIM's.

It's a weird problem. My serial port works fine in Windows for all sorts of
other devices, so why would the WinCE based organizers be any different?

Maybe that's why they named it "wince".
