I have just started running Win4lin using Mandrake 7.2
with X-windows 4.01
and have the following problem.
When I cover the Win4lin window with either another window
or the screensaver comes on, the Win4lin screen is not repainted
when the other window is exited or the screen saver turned off with a keypress.
Another window will leave a black square where it covered the Win4lin window.
In the screensaver case, the entire Win4lin screen is black.
To recover it is necessary to do three steps:
1. RMB on the Win4lin desktop and select refrest.
That brings back most of the window but not the task bar on the bottom.
2. Point the mouse where the start menu lives and click it to bring it back.
3. With rmb pressed down, run the mouse over the rest of the task bar
to get whatever icons live there to refresh.
A local user also using Win4lin and Mandrake 7.2 and X-windows 4.01
and has the same problem.
Can anyone point me to what might be happening? Or give me a fix!!
There are no peculiarities in X-windows except what happens
to Win4lin and I have looked at the X-windows config files and they appear ok.
