Anyone had problems with this? My Mandrake 7.2 comes with CUPS by
default. I have it set as a remote LPD printer, talking to an axis print
server (plugged into an epson color 880). Testing/printing from linux
works fine. If I try using the epson color 880 driver installed in win98,
it won't print. The jobs get sent out, but never appear on the printer. I
started poking around in the /var/log/cups directory, and found these entries:

error_log:E [09/Mar/2001:09:20:25 -0500] print_job: Unsupported format
'application/octet-stream'!
error_log:E [09/Mar/2001:09:23:46 -0500] print_job: Unsupported format
'application/octet-stream'!
error_log:E [09/Mar/2001:09:26:44 -0500] print_job: Unsupported format
'application/octet-stream'!
error_log:E [09/Mar/2001:09:28:41 -0500] print_job: Unsupported format
'application/octet-stream'!
error_log:E [09/Mar/2001:09:58:24 -0500] print_job: Unsupported format
'application/octet-stream'!

If I try as a standard epson esc/p printer, it works, but I can't do the
neat color/high-res things. This printer/driver worked fine when the
underlying system was mandrake 6.1 with vanilla lpd. Any ideas?
