Hi,
My problem with fwin script (even the new one) refusing to work after
upgrade to X4.0.2 is solved. It turned out to be a pam misconfiguration, that
often happens by default on RedHat and Mandrake (my case).
To correct the problem you have to change the /etc/pam.d/xserver file (as
root).
The original contents are:
#%PAM-1.0
auth sufficient /lib/security/pam_rootok.so
auth required /lib/security/pam_console.so
and they should be:
#%PAM-1.0
auth required /lib/security/pam_permit.so
account required /lib/security/pam_permit.so
Don't ask me why, I found this on google.
