Note that /dev/ttyS0 or any other device node in /dev/ is not used
by Win4Lin for serial port access.  Win4Lin has it's own COM1 and
COM drivers.

And as someone else noted, try setting the speed of the port much
lower.  Win4Lin 3.0 might have some minor improvements in this
area, but I can't promise anything yet.
