and indeed we did conjecture this would happen...

it's clearly unlucky for Netraverse that the virtual memory changes have
so thoroughly broken their virtual machine! but....

either

if this is a commercial product I think I'm entitled to at least 12
months support, eg to allow it to work with 2.2.19 and other current
kernels 


or
If conversely it's at least in part in the mainstream linux tradition -
(ie when  it breaks you 'get to keep both bits'  - but also access to
enough info to try to find your own solutions...) -  then let's have
some of the info we were promised long ago and see what we can do 'to
help,' (or at least get some fun out of trying!)

(one of the reasons I run linux, on rather dated boxen, is that it suits
my meagre talents, as a semi-retired physicist, and relatively high time
to money ratio!)
