I use it with that configuration. No problems at all. I am using Win4Lin
2.0.1, AFAIK.

Use alien to make the .deb file from the rpm. (Adjust if your version
number is slightly different.)
# alien -k -c Win4Lin-5.1.1f-1.i386.rpm

Now, install it.
# dpkg -i win4lin_5.1.1f-1_i386.deb

Now, fix up the permissions. (This may have been fixed by now, but I'm
not sure.)
# cd /opt
# chown -R bin:bin win4lin
# chown root:bin win4lin/dos7utils win4lin/mcd win4lin/publicbin/dosexec
# chmod 4555 win4lin/dos7utils win4lin/mcd win4lin/publicbin/dosexec

I think I did the kernel patching before this:

You need to get Kernel-Win4Lin2-2218.patch.gz or something like that.
Install the correct kernel-source package. Patch the source. Configure
and rebuild using make-kpkg (from kernel-package). Install. Reboot.

PS: I think that there are quite a few debian users on this list. :)
