You're going to have to include a bit more information before anyone
can help you.

> My main drive is on /dev/hda1.

Define "main". Is this a Windows partition or a Linux partition? Are
you running a dual-boot system?

>i dont have enough space for free to install windows on it.

It seems that your msg is confusing "drive" and "partition." How big
is /dev/hda1 and what do you have on it?

> I just put another drive in on /dev/hda4.

This statement says something that's impossible. If you've installed
a second hard drive it would be /dev/hdb, /dev/hdc or /dev/hdd,
depending on which IDE channel it's on and whether it's the slave or
master.

> Windows keeps wanting to install to /dev/hda1.

If you're doing a plain (not Win4Lin) installation of Windows, that's
exactly where it's going to go everytime. Windows isn't smart enough
to give you choices.

> how to i get it to install on /dev/hda4 ?

If you're trying to install it under Win4Lin, you use winsetup and win
to direct the installation. If this is what you're trying to do,
don't boot from the Windows CD. Rather, you need to read the
Netraverse online instructions and follow them.
