I've seen the threads on 3.0, but honestly haven't read them. I was hoping to
come back from vacation and everybody would be downloading their upgrade. That
didn't happen. It's obvious we (NeTraverse) have missed several dates now,
even
though they were soft dates to start with. Maybe we were being optimistic.
So if you're reading this post for a date, I don't have one to post. I will
say this instead.
Win4Lin 3.0 will be available as a box set (cd & manual) and will be in
many stores
within North America, through our distributor Macmillan Software (a press
release on
our site from early in the year), or directly from NeTraverse.
Win4Lin 3.0 will also be available as a download from NeTraverse. This
portion requires
extra development time as it needed additional functionality both in the
software and on
NeTraverse Systems.
Then we have the Upgrade to 3.0 for current 1.0 and 2.0 purchasers. Yes
this requires
additional development work.
You are likely to start seeing Win4Lin 3.0 on store shelves within North
America soon.
The download and upgrade were planned to be available "about" the same
time, most likely
shortly afterward.
Suffice it to say, we will release the upgrade when it is ready and not
before then. That's the
best answer I have to give at this point.
