attempting to avoid "me too"
I have a similar problem, on one of my machines...
it will download and install fine the first time (and uninstall, and
reinstall) but every time I try to check for updates, the installer
crashes with a segfault. This is on Mandrake 8.0
I have another Mandrake 8.0 machine that does not exibit this problem
(different set of hardware), as do I have a Mandrake 7.2 machine, which
is a different machine but similar hardware configuration, and does not
exibit this problem either.
