I have the exact same problem along with the 80% kernel installation. I
am running the same setup as you are. I tried installing offline and got
the same response. You must be online AND have the installer check your
system and any online upgrades otherwise you get the same message.

i have e-mailed tech support for help on the 80% kernel install problem
and hopefully will get an answere soon.

Hi!

I have problems installing Win4Lin 3.0 on my SuSE box.
After running installer (V3.0.3), it properly recognizes that
configuration (SuSE 7.1 distro with 2.4.0 kernel) and proceeds to
download packages.

After succesfully downloading packages and installing Win4Lin
application, the installation process stops in the phase of installing
Win4Lin Enabled kernel (after completed 80%).

This has happened several times.

When I try afterwards to install Win4Lin oof-line, installer complains
that I don't have Win4Lin ready system - it cannot recognize neither
distribution, not the version, neither kernel version.

Any idea what to do?

Sincerely,
Sasa
