I have the same problem doing an upgrade install. It went smoothly until
I added the Merge NIC adapter. Before I could OK the window it asked me to
select a protocol. TCP IP wasn't listed. Can't install TCP IP. It says to
"Click the Network Protocol that matches your hardware and then click OK. If
you don't know which model you have, click OK. If you have an installation
disk for this device, click Have Disk." Listed protocols are ATM Call
Manager, Fast Infrared Protocol, WAN support for ATM, Winsock2 ATM Service
Provider.

    Mandrake 7.2, kernel 2.2.17-21mdk
