We do not produce any "pre" patches. At best you can expect a patch
within a few days to a few weeks after a new patch has been officially
released.
Timing depends on current priorities and time to test.

Everything is possible. It's even been talked about (usually
when all other topics of conversation have dried up). Here is a direct quote
from Dave Peet last April, which answers your question.
"Win4Lin does use modules for the several drivers it has, but there are
some things that are required to be done that just cannot efficiently or
safely
done just with modules. One can review the patches to see just what changes
have to be made to the kernel to support the modules. "
