Two questions:
1/ How does one install old floppy based windows programs into win4lin?
The floppy disk access now works using the latest Kernel RPM - thanks guys
However; now when I access the floppy drive (happens to be a:) the windows
program I am trying to install asks if it ok to install to drive C: . Fine,
what is the magic combo to address drive c: from the floppy? I have tried
$home, ~win, C:\, and other more embarrassing combinations to no avail.
Surely there must be a way. Since most of the install floppies are
compressed, I cannot just copy them to $home/win while in Linux and they get
them to install. Any ideas would be appreciated.
2/ When booting into linux upon computer startup with the new win4lin Kernel,
I notice the following repeated four times just before I get to the login
prompt:
"opt/win4lin/drivers/tools/loadem : setserial : command not found"
Anybody know what this is? I looked at the file setserial but am unable to
figure out what is not working. I doubt this is associated with the previous
problem.
Regards,
Harry
