Hi all,

Since I upgraded to win4lin-3.0.5 I have some trouble with videos coded with
intel indeo-5.1.

Let me give a short introduction: I always record movies using dvr (a really
great digital video recorder for linux) and the intel indeo 5.1 codec. To
resize and applying several other filters I use virtualdub for windows.
But since I updated to win4lin-3.0.5 I mostly get a devision by zero in the
ir50_32.dll library. First I thought only virtualdub is affected but then I
figured out that all programs that use this dll-file crash when I load a
intel indeo-5.1 encoded video. But please note: The "devision by zero"
happens not always but mostly when the indeo-5.1 codec is needed and it
didn't happen with one of the previous win4lin-3.0.x versions.

I also asked Netraverse for an older version of win4lin to make sure that
win4lin-3.0.5 is really the reason for the crashes, but so far I didn't get
an answer yet.

Since I didn't get an answer from Netreverse I want to ask if someone of you
perhaps could try to edit a indeo-5.1 encoded avi video. The crashes in the
ir50_32.dll mostly occur when I use virtualdub but sometimes it also happens
when I use the mplayer to watch the videos.

My problem is that I'm not absolutely sure if it is really the fault of
win4lin-3.0.5 -- crashes within windows are probably nothing new for all of
us.

Thanks in advance,

Bernd
