Hi,
There is probably some other application that is holding /dev/ttyS0 open. To
find out which process it is do the following as root:
# ls -l /proc/*/fd/* | grep ttyS0
You should se something like:
lrwx------ 1 root root 64 Aug 7 09:31 467/fd/5 -> /dev/ttyS0
In this case, the process ID is 467.
