Hi,
I'm going to need to down shift back to the 1.0 release of Win4Lin this
weekend as the 2.0 beta license runs out. I'm interested in understanding
what sort of precautions I need to take, and whether I'll need to do any
reinstallation of applications following the downshift?
Can I simply back up my windows directories in my user accounts, remove
2.0 completely, do the installation of 1.0, restore my user accounts and
play? Or do I need to reinstall Windows in my user accounts and reinstall
Windoze apps?
I am also curious about what people are doing for backups under Linux WRT
Win4Lin. Do I need to back up anything other than user accounts to ensure no
loss of user data? I do not mind reinstalling Win4Lin and Linux in the event
of a major crash.
