This is interesting and I'm grateful for all comment. Judging by this, and
unless we hear anything to the contrary, I'd better get used to using NVDA and
possibly Jaws 14 as well. We're hoping to get me a license for use at work, so
I'd be able to bring it home with me as well.

Thanks for this.

Okay the following is only my opinion and I'd like to make it quite clear that
I'm still using Windows 7 for the moment.

What justifies the upgrade to Window-Eyes 8? Well supposedly a better browser
interface and I'm the one who says "Supposedly" as I think GW Micro have gone
backwards here.

The whole idea of the new interface is that its supposed to be quicker and -
using the tab key - you're supposed to be able to tab to edit boxes, form
controls etc and Window-Eyes is supposed to turn Browse mode off.

Well - in my experience, - the actions as described with the tab key certainly
do work however you have no idea sometimes of whether Window-Eyes is or isn't
in browse mode when a web page loads and this is annoying.

Further to this, Window-eyes still has problems when it comes to recognising or
reporting links on a page so I'm often finding myself using NVDA to navigate
web pages, the interface for browsers using NVDA gives me more accurate
information about the page then Window-Eyes 8 does.

I really wish GW Micro would stay "Stuff The Old Browse Mode" and rewrite the
thing because JAWS and NVDA "P" all over it.
