Hi all I am delighted to be able to inform you that my future employer is now embracing NVDA as their screen-reader of choice under Windows. So, I need to get down to seriously learning it, along with System Access.
I have given a lot of thought to the way I do things under Windows. Because I want to upgrade my main machine to Windows 8, I have the option of either upgrading my copy of Window-Eyes to version 8.0.1 or else to dump Window-Eyes totally, buy a copy of System Access and also use NVDA. I would very much welcome comment on this issue, as to whether or not there is justification for paying the $199 US upgrade fee, or whether I should simply abandon Window-Eyes, go NVDA and System Access and be done with it. We are also considering options regarding Jaws. But that will probably be later when I start work. But in any event, I need to act now regarding my own systems. I welcome comment. I also need to find the NVDA home page and do some reading. I will do a Google on that one as well as System Acces.
