I'm going to try it under Windows 8 I think, because I need E-Mail for work and
I see this as the best option at present now that I am aware of the situation
regarding future-proofing and the time taken to get things synchronised. I
simply didn't want to spend that time on something which was dead. But now
that I know different, I will go ahead with the project as quickly as possible.
It will save me the hassle of taking two machines into work all the time if I
can accomplish what I need to do on one. Lynne recently subscribed to Office
365 which essentially gives us access to the most up-to-date versions of
office, as well as our Office 2010 subscription. I'm also hoping that my grant
will pay for a permanent license for Office 2013 which, I believe, NVDA
supports. I'm no longer interested in Window-Eyes, as there are simply too
many issues with it. I grew very tired also of having to wait 7 or 8 weeks
when ordering upgrades because of their stupid system of creating C
D's in the US and sending them out to dealers when customers order them. They
ship products in bulk which is why the delay. I'm not prepared to go that
route any longer.

Anyway, I will try Thunderbird shortly, see if I can get that working. I
should be able too, in view of the fact that the problems I had last time I
tried were most likely caused by Window-Eyes which I was using at the time.

Kind regards
