So where to go from here? Well perhaps you might like to try Reaper, this
software allows multi track manipulation and uses the Audio editor of your
preference when it comes to editing particular audio tracks, a select group of
tracks etc.
Also have a look at Goldwave's Sister Software called Multiquence, as I recall
Multiquence is reasonably accessible but Reaper is far more accessible.

did some googling ttheexact name of these scripts was called
ReaAccess <http://www.reaaccess.com/>
it appears to be in no longer in development
these scripts were to supposivly work with all the screen readers window
eyes, jaws, and nvda when I tried these about a year ago I couldn't get
reaper to even play a audio file, with these ReaAccess scripts and even
with out. <http://www.reaaccess.com/>
that is why I am surprised to hear that blind people are using it
successfully.
