Hi all
I'm sure that there will be somebody on list who is doing this.
So here's my question. What software are you using to edit and
manipulate audio?
I've have a play around with GoldWave, of which a lot of people
have spoken before now. Whilst I'm sure it works, I am not
having a great deabbl of luck with it so far. Perhaps, even
probably it's me doing something wrong. But I cannot find a way
to select small amounts of audio by ear, kind of on-the-fly.
Using the standard editing commands, (shiftPlus-Cursor
left/right), I get no indication in audio as to what if anything
is being selected.
I recall that using another editor on another platform I used
to be able to hear absolutely all edit operations in real-time.
However, that no longer works either, so I'm having to explore
other options; hence my trying Windows-based editors. I have a
lisence for Sony Sound Forge Pro version 11, but have not got
around to installing it yet. I'd hoped that perhaps GoldWave
would work out right, and maybe it will. But so far the results
are not encouraging.
Again, it is highly probable that these problem are due to user
error. It does seem unlikely that people would speak so highly
of an editor if it didn't work when used correctly. So if
somebody could possibly assist me to determine where I'm going
wrong, I'd be very greatful. I have a number of projects
awaiting my attention which require audcco to be edited. I'd
like to get those done in the coming days if at all possible. So
any assistance would be very much appreciated.
Kind regards
Gordon
you
