How far along is address separation ?

I see that Alexandre started to put some preliminary patches in a month
or two ago.  How far along is this ?  Any bite sized tasks I could help
with ?

My motives for asking are of course selfish - I have to run a product at
work that spawns a non-relocatable license manager task...
