Why not install linux? It is not a big deal to install, and will use
sparingly only those resources you give it. Of course, if you make a
living by win32 programming, you might not want to get too interested in
linux. I would rather try to reverse-engineer and emulate that API with
a relatively sane OS like linux, than try to program with it.
