Is the debugger broken?

I am attempting to use the wine debugger on our own software which currently faults 
with wine, but the wine debugger freezes during
loading. However it does still work with notepad.

It gets as far as :-

Loading new modules symbols:
    USER32 DISPLAY wineps gdi32 x11drv winedbg
    SYSTEM

and then stops.

The only way to stop the debugger is to then kill it.

I wonder if any of the changes caused by moving parts of wine to the libkernel has had 
any effect?

Anyone have any ideas?
