Hi. I think I might have ran into an bug in the way Wine imports/handles Windows registry keys. When I installed Windows (before I installed Linux or even knew about Linux) I didn't specify a user/password combo. As I understand it this results in all users being 'the same' and all reg keys going to .Default user. I found when playing with Wine that the keys that where in .Default got moved to my ~/user.reg file in keys like the following: [geo\\.Default\\AppEvents\\...] [geo\\.Default\\Software\\...] etc That's fine, except that Wine is looking for these keys at keys like the following: [geo\\AppEvents\...] [geo\\Software\...] As a result many of my apps have lot their settings until I go through the user.reg and remove the .Default\\.
