Well, on my machine OEM and Symbol fonts work much better now that
they did before. I admit the patch may not be the right solution, in
fact I mostly agree with your arguments; but you cannot claim that the
previous situation was 100% correct either. So before taking the patch
out I'd like to be sure that we understand what the right fix should
be.
