Hmm, one has to re-write the dev_x11 in WINE for nano-X [I guess it would
not be feasible for mwin/Win32 :]. This should not be a problem.

I envision WINE linked to the nano-X server as a single application --
this would be really like having Win 3.1 / 95 directly over Linux/*BSD
without X11.

So I am kinda interested but I shall not re-write dev_x11. I can assist
you on integrating it with the nano-X server [because now I am involved in
hacking the server].

Write a basic implementation (dev_x11 -> dev_nx), share the code and I'll
send you improvements.
