I've packaged Wine 20001002 into .deb files, and put them up on
http://www.winehq.com/~ovek/

I've based myself on the official Debian packaging, except that I've fixed
the problems with it (two serious packaging problems made the official
debs fail to work out-of-the-box), and added some extra stuff like an
initial windows dir, system dir, win.ini, system.ini, and an empty
winsock.dll for those apps that check for it...

(I might also apply for Debian membership.)

I know that there are people working on improved RPMs too. Perhaps it'd be
a good idea to work out a common packaging philosophy, write a whitepaper,
or something...
