On all platforms I have access to (GNU/Linux, FreeBSD) I have been
seeing the following for quite some time now:

../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"
../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"
../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"
../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"
../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"
../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"
../../include/pshpack8.h:47:6: warning: #warning "8 as alignment is not supported"

Is this really useful, resp. couldn't we avoid that somehow?
