Heh, apparently a few tweaks in nvidia-settings fixed it. Wow. Wished I had quit being lazy a few weeks ago now...It wouldn't let me set it in KDE's system settings, so I didn't bother trying nvidia.
I think I've burnt my brain out, had quite a few strange occurences/dumb moments lately...I need a vacation. Thanks Carl, and to the rest of the list, sorry for the noise/false hope to d3d/ddraw guys. -Austin
