After doing for cpu in `seq 0 3` do; sudo cpufreq-set -g performance -c $cpu; done the a8-3850 runs configure in 37 seconds! > It would be interesting to know how the i7 fares when using the > performance governor. On the i7, after doing "./configure" once to warm up, ondemand gives 31 seconds, performance gives 23 seconds. So it's not AMD-specific. 'conservative' gives 26 seconds, halfway between the two. - Dan
