Hey Guys,
As one of those Artists Inventing Stuff, I'm inviting you to take a gander at
the (ABSOLUTELY FREE) Mickee Faust Club Fall Cabaret, Faust Goes Postal
The Mickee Faust Club is a 35-year old non profit community theater for the
weird & queer community in Tallahassee Florida.
I head it up as Mickee Faust, a beer-guzzling, cigar-chopping illegitimate
littermate of that other better groomed cartoon creation living it up in
Orlando.
Mary and Alice are fans! Austin Winedaleans got a glimpse of our skits when
Susan Todd presented Mickee Faust's Shakesparody at her wonderful Scottish Rite
Theater.
Faust is an all volunteer group with a movable feast of participants. We have
a core of professionals who teach writing, directing, performing, lights,
sound, video, radio free to anyone in the Florida Panhandle who wants to learn.
Since COVID hit we've been teaching a batch of people how to write, produce,
shoot and edit short comic (and not so comic) videos.
This link to an earlier piece called Cashier, a musical parody of Midnight
written by a young Hispanic, disabled woman about working at Walmart. will give
you a taste of what we do. https://youtu.be/P7YWXH9eG80
And here are the links to Faust Goes Postal: AGAIN -- IT IS ABSOLUTELY FREE.
And you know what else is free? POPCORN (from your pantry). The show is 40
minutes long and of course you can tune in and out at will. Oh, and it's BYOB.

PS By the way, thank you John Rando for brainstorming with me all those years
ago when we did Midnight Shorts together with a bunch of other Winedaleans.
That's when you and I came up with the name Mickee Faust . You were studying
German and I was from Germany and we both had Faust and Rats on our minds.
Love to you all, Terry

Why does this remind me of "This is a Play," or whatever it was called
from "Fahrenheit 451," where you would interact with the theatre on
your vidscreen wall. This, needless to say, has less sinister
connotations because of the social context, but the actors whispering
line to the player just triggered something in me. Sorry about that.
My bad. That said, I think this is a brilliant idea. Sounds like tons
of fun with wide range of potential. Could keep a lot of people off
the street as well. But then, isn't the plague doing that already?
I'll go home now.
