Thank you, Doc, for your message. This is heartbreaking news. James was a
beautiful human being, full of gentleness, wit, smarts and guts. I have
been thinking of Laurel...what an amazing partner and support she has been
to him. And I have been thinking of the many many students whose lives he
touched. James is beloved. It is a terrible loss. I will miss him so.
