Hi Luke, We definitely welcome patches for the bugs you found! Thanks for being willing to contribute that, and your prototype for the HTML UI. I saw the JIRA for item #2, is there also a JIRA for item #1? Just make sure that you check the box indicating that you're granting ASF license to the patches so we can commit them.
The listserv stripped the attachments so I'm not able to see the screenshots. You mentioned that it's a tool for debugging. Is the tool providing an HTML view of the admin info? Or is it interactive with the services? Either way, sounds interesting.
