Greetings,
I just wanted to let you know about a change that
is occurring in hosting for the list. I am no longer able to host the
discussion on my server. Minnesota E-Democracy & MNForum.org have
stepped in to provide hosting at no cost for Winona Online
Democracy.
This will mean a few changes in how things
operate (and probably a few bumps in the road during the
transition). The most obvious change is that to post a message to the
list, you must now address your messages to:
(instead of [EMAIL PROTECTED]).
PLEASE ADJUST YOUR ADDRESS BOOK TO REFLECT THIS
CHANGE
With the new system, you will be able to log in to
a webpage and "manage" your subscription. You'll have options such as
receiving email in "digest" mode (one message a day that includes all the posts
for the day, instead of individual messages as they are sent to the list).
You can also choose to subscribe with multiple email addresses, but only receive
email at one address (for example, if you want to be able to post a message from
work and home, but only want to receive messages at home.)
You will soon receive a separate email with the
subject "[EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing list reminder" that includes a link
to your subscription management page and your password -- so you can make
whatever changes you want.
If you know of anyone who would like to join Winona
Online Democracy, they can now go to:
http://www.mnforum.org/mailman/listinfo/winona to
subscribe. A link to the message archives will also be available from that
page (though it will only include messages from this date forward).
The Winona Online Democracy web page (www.winona.org and
onlinedemocracy.winona.org) will also be going offline within the next few weeks
and might remain that way for a while until new arrangements are worked out for
its hosting.
Thanks for your patience during this transition and
please let me know if you have any questions.
Again . . . to post a message to Winona Online
Democracy, you must now address it to [EMAIL PROTECTED].
Thanks,
-Steve Kranz, Co-Chair & List
Manager
