[Winona Online Democracy] I'm writing to invite anyone interested to the event described in the press release below.
"Just-war theory" -- the conditions under which war or forms of warfare can be ethically or legally justified -- will be discussed during a presentation at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 20, at Saint Mary's University. Presenters will be Dr. Susan Windley-Daoust of Saint Mary's theology department and Dr. David Lynch of the political science department. Windley-Daoust will explain the origins and criteria of just-war theory and discuss how the theory relates to the U.S. and Iraq. Lynch will provide a historical context of how the current situation developed. The event is free and open the public. It will be held in Salvi Lecture Hall on the third floor of Saint Mary's Hall.
