Good Morning,
The Paul Bianchi lecture was
well attended last night. The school director from Atlanta's Paidiea
School had a personable conversation with the audience about school
environments and their effect on kids, parents, employees and learning.
The evening was full of humble disclaimers, studied observations, humor, and
progressive thinking on how schools can be both effective and
humane.
The panel (Eric Bartleson,
Jodi Dansingburg, Polly Gower, Steve Kranz, Jean Leicester,
Roger Peckover, John Ruggeberg, Randy Schenkat, Natalie Siderius,
and Katy Smith) will be posting their thoughts, reactions and insights
today. Then, any readers can jump in with questions and conversation as we
move through the week. We'll wrap up any lingering discussion after the
weekend.
Enjoy this great
conversation on schools and learning!
