If you add together the posts from Winona Online Democracy and the personal messages, I have read almost 40 e-mails about the proposed County Huber Jail facility. Many of those e-mails had great questions in them. Many of those questions involved the numbers behind the proposals. I apologize I have not been able to keep up with all the questions. After the first question arrived, I asked Blake Pickart, the County's Finance Director, to post the information on the County's web page. It has taken a few days to get formatted but thanks to him, the information is now available. ----- The County's web page address is: www.co.winona.mn.us Here is how to find the information: ----- To view click on: "What's New", Then "Winona County Jail Annex Options," Then on "Life Cycle Cost Analyses" ----- Only the options for the Thrifty White, Extension Office, and the Maintance Buildings are listed. The more recent other options are still being researched and having the numbers crunched. The County Board will recieve an update and discuss the new options at it's Tuesday Committee of the Board Meeting (study session), which immediately follows the regular Business Meeting. No decisions will be made until at least the July 8th meeting. At that meeting, we have also scheduled a public hearing to give the community a chance to comment on the issue(s). If you are interested in the numbers, please look the information over and let us know what you think. The more eyes we have looking at this issue, the better. Thank you for your time and input.
