What Bob described
is exactly what has been occuring the last few years at the multi-cultural fair
that takes place (usually in September, I think) at Veteran's Park.
There's been great foods from different countries, lots of costumes, native
dances, etc. I've attended a couple years, but the crowds have not
been big. They work really hard on it, but they need more help to make it
grow. Advertising is expensive too. Maybe Scott could get the
multi-cultural club at the high school involved in volunteering with
them?? I don't know that there's a great advantage to moving
it to the levee, is there? They do have a nice stage at the park for
performances. Anyway, wanted to call it to your attention.
