[Winona Online Democracy] Greetings,
I wanted to let you know that I have started a weblog (also known as a "blog") to share my reflections on the activities of the School Board. The purpose of the weblog is to provide more information (and my perspective) about issues faced by the board and the logic behind board decisions. I also will try to share information about issues that come up between regular board meetings (committee meetings, etc.). The weblog allows any member of the public to add their comments to what I have posted. I hope this will provide the public with more insight into the activities of the board. This is an "experimental" effort, so please let me know if you have any comments or suggestions regarding it. Because I will be trying to get a feel for what works and what doesn't (and whether this is useful and worth the effort), the features and content of the weblog are subject to change at any time. You can find the weblog at: http://www.civicideas.org/weblog The weblog features entries every few days. Depending on what is happening, I may post once a day, several times a day or, perhaps not for several days at a time. The most recent entries are at the top of the page and they get older as you scroll down the page. There is also a calendar where you can click to see a particular day's entries If you would like to be notified by email when new information is posted to the weblog, please let me know by emailing me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] (in the future, I hope to have an automatic way to sign up on the website). -Steve Kranz, Board Member -Winona Area Public Schools p.s. For those who expressed concern regarding not televising study sessions, the board took those concerns into account last night and decided to move the study sessions back to city hall where they can be televised. We will try a different seating configuration and agenda format, though, to continue our efforts to improve the quality of dialogue among board members. _______________________________________________ This message was posted to Winona Online Democracy All messages must be signed by the senders actual name.
