[Winona Online Democracy] Greetings,
I thought the list might be interested in reading a Star-Tribune article that discusses the Winona School Board addressing the issue of holding firearm safety courses in school buildings. I've provided a an excerpt and a link below. I also have a post regarding this issue on my School Board Web Log at: www.civicideas.org/weblog. Just a side note . . . "I think it bothered my son more, just because he was ready to learn how to use it." The school board's refusal late last month to make an exception for the state-sponsored gun-safety course has sparked passionate debate in Winona, a Mississippi River town of 27,000 residents located in the heart of fertile hunting and fishing territory . . .(continued at: http://www.startribune.com/stories/462/4163277.html) _______________________________________________ This message was posted to Winona Online Democracy All messages must be signed by the senders actual name.
