[Winona Online Democracy]
Kathy-
The Witness for Peace event happened a while ago, but the Everland
Collective is holding a series of three panel discussions coming up during
the next few weeks. The first one will be on Monday, November 24th from 7-9
pm in the WSU Activity Room, and will be discussing the Free Trade Area of
the Americas and its effects and implications for U.S. citizens as well as
other countries. The second will be on Wednesday, December 3rd at the same
time in Salvi Hall on the St. Mary's Campus, and will be discussing
protesting, addressing issues such as "Why do people protest?" and the
values of different protesting tactics. The third discussion will be on
Wednesday, December 10th, also from 7-9 pm at Salvi Hall, and will be
addressing the topic of progressive solutions to global problems. If anyone
would like more information, feel free to send me an email.
-Emily
